I just acquired what I believe to be a 71 MK1, and have a few questions.
How can I date the guitar? The serial number is V0625 and the pots date to the 8 week of 1971.
Where grover tuners ever original or are they replacement?
The guitar did not come with the ohsc, what would be a correct replacement?
Is there any production numbers on colors, if so what is the least common color?
Also, any idea of value?

Re: 1971 Mosrite MK1?
Hi JJB,
For what it's worth, I had a ('71?) Mk1 in sunburst with a sunburst headstock, same decal, but looks like the width at the top of the headstock might have been narrower. Mine didn't have the string guides either, don't remember ever seeing string guides. Mine was S/N V0475

There should be a date stamped in the neck pocket and on the neck itself in the mounting area.
