Sarah's Celebrity Diner

Postby Sarah93003 » Wed Aug 11, 2010 2:40 pm

Brian Berry has created another nifty piece of artwork for my website that will go up on the next update. In the meantime, I can fantasize about having my very own Diner. How cool would that be?!?

And I for one hope that the booths are upholstered in red sparkle tuck n' roll naugahyde.

Black coffee and a doughnut for me...

Tres hip, Sarah.

But hey, folks in general, if you ever get to Chicago, check out Tommy's Guitars & Cafe, in Ukrainian Village, on Chicago Avenue.

No kidding.

First time in there, a number of years ago, 'saw an electric blue Dillion Mosrite-oid sorta-copy VMD-75 hanging on the wall, while happily partaking of a corned beef sarnie, tater chips and a pop. In the presence of 350 or so guitars.

Yes, the experience does redline the cool-o-meter, tres beaucoup hip.

Check Tommy's out. Watch the video, too.

(The Dillion played like ***t but had a personality and a sound and some vibe, so 'took it home. Then gave it to Third Coast Guitars to do a mongo setup and fret-filing)...and it's a surprisingly nice guitar. In fact, it stimulated the purchase of a real Mosrite a few months later, but that's another story.
