New from Arizona

Postby azbandit » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:26 pm

I live in the mountains of Arizona and found this forum while researching information about my Mosrite. I have owned this guitar for 45 or 46 years. Bought it in the Mid 60's and must admit I cant pin point the year but pretty sure it was in 1963 or 1964. My friend bought one first and I had to have one too. Walked into the store and there it was....red just like the one on the Ventures album. In fact I still have the album and cover...Walk dont Run Volume 2. This is a great guitar and unfortunatly I dont do it justice as I haven't really played it much for a long time but Ive decided to get it out and start playing again. I really do love this guitar. I will give you more information on the guitar itself after I finish going thru the info about the different models you talk about here on the site. Have a great day....Blaine

Welcome to the forum, Blaine. A candy apple red (or possibly strawberry red?) '63 you say? Neat-o.

Sounds like a real beauty. That album cover captivated me when I first picked it up. I must admit, I wasn't a Ventures fan until my 20's so this album was a few years old when I saw it. Not too old but not new. Great guitar man. I've played a few at shops and what not. Wish I could get one.

Welcome to the forum Blaine!! Where are you located in Arizona? I'm in Sierra Vista. Lots of info to be found on this site, and members are real friendly and ready to help with questions. Enjoy the guitar now that you've brought it out of hibernation :D
