You know how to pick 'em. She's a real beauty. When did you pick her up?

she sounds great.

sort of.

turns out there was a problem with the pick up switch. i put a new one in and i'm not getting full output from the bridge pick up(this was the case before the switch replacement and i thought that replacing it might fix that problem. it didn't). i am going to take it to a builder acquaintance who had done the same for a vintage bass of mine and find out where the problem lies.

hopefully it's just a wire or bad connection solder joint. we'll see.

I hope it is an easy repair. If it turns out to be in the pickup I would recommend you only sent it to E.F.Elliott for repair. He can repair it and make sure it retains that Mosrite sound.

thanks jim,
i will keep that in mind. the dealer i bought it from has, so far, stood behind their sale and are working with me. if it comes to a repair, i will suggest that, unless they have a better idea.

i checked out your band website.

sounds country. which some people don't even know what that is anymore. sad. although i will say that you really could use a steel guitar. but then i'm a bit biased in that department. and i'm sure you also probably agree.

nice job on your mosrite refin. she's a beaut.
