GTSP wrote:My 350 just may be black ... 1) I am color blind to dark, natural tones. Dark green, dark blue, black, etc. Lots of them blend together to me. 2) it will look green under a bright LED light & black under a regular, filament light.

I have no idea where he got it from. It was my understanding that this model was only made till 1974. However, one way I was told it could be dated was by the year stamped on the volume/tone pots. I have the original pots and some wiring. The date I see, on one of the pots I believe, is 1975. So not sure what the deal is there.
Anyway, it started life as a beautiful natural finish. I say started because for the last two or three decades, the mahogany body has no finish at all. My brother in his infinite wisdom, put all kinds of stupid stickers and other nonsense all over the thing and in my infinite wisdom, I pretty much destroyed the original finish trying to remove all the cr*p he put on the thing. I still have the original pickups, bridge, tuners, pick guard and electronics. I realize that refinishing a vintage guitar takes away from the value, but I'm honestly not concerned about that as I have no intention of ever selling it. I will keep it and hand it down to my grandson if he ever learns to be responsible enough to own something like that. Anyway, I would just like to restore the guitar to its original look as I think they were beautiful instruments.
