Hi,
I am Doug from Astoria, OR. I just purchased a Mosrite Celebrity serial number 3C0159, from the original owner. I am trying to find out anything I can about it. He bought it new in the 70s. It is in the Sunburst finish. The control knob plastic guard is not the same shape as any of the pictures of Celebrities I can find. It has chrome tuning keys.
Anyone have any information or know where I can go to get some?
Thanks,
Doug

Welcome to the forum, Doug. Post up some photos and I'll be happy to comment. From the serial number, you have a Celebrity III, made in 1972. The more photos you can post the better we can investigate and comment. Also, if you take up the screws that hold down the control panel, flip it over, and look for the pot codes that is very helpful in dating a guitar. The pot code will be a seven digit number beginning with 134 or 137. Something like 1347238, for example. If you prefer, you can email me directly at: Sarah@MosriteCelebrity.com and we can discuss in detail. In the forum is fine as well.

Thanks, Susan for the info. I have some pictures but need to set up a better place to photograph. The lighting is terrible.
