Re: Fillmore or Kurokumo how can I tell?
Photos will be needed but the "Mosrite of California" and Ventures logo points to a Kurokumo model. If it has the Vibramute then it was one of the higher end reissues. Does the kidney shaped neck plate say "Mosrite" on it? Does it have a serial number?

I have only one pic, Hard to tell but it doesn't look like the kidney shaped neck plate say "Mosrite" on it.
It does have a serial number, 1030.

Something about the Tremolo doesn't quite sit right with me. It just looks too rough. It looks like cast aluminum, weren't originals plated brass ? Not what one would expect from a higher end model.

The Tremolo bothers me too, as said it looks too rough. The guitar is said to be a used 65 reissue from 2008. About $1050, I'm having a look at it tomorrow.

I wouldn't be too concerned over the vibrato. Semie had the early ones sand cast out of aluminum. Some were rough and some were smooth others were polished out to a glossy shine. After w while they changed to plated brass. All are correct. My original '64 has the rough cast aluminum a lot like the one above.

So it could still be a higher end model?

Absolutely! It's virtually identical to the original 64-65. Originals changed to nickled brass in 66 when they went with the headstock trussrod cover.

Got some new pics...
Wrong of me, no brown alligator case, rather blackish?
Sleeping beauty, had hope for M-knobs but no.
