Hi folks. Big fan of Mosrite. My dad gave me his Mosrite-clone bass back in High School, and I never saw another guitar that looked like it. I'm trying to do some restoration to the electronics, and that's mainly why I'm here. Hope I find what I'm looking for.

Maybe "clone" isn't the right word. It says "Mosrite" on the headstock and pickups, but is missing "of California". I haven't been able to tell who actually made it, but I'd love to know if there's a way I can find out.

Throw up a picture I am sure someone here will be able to help identify it could be a Fillmore based on your small description but could also be quite a few other things

Welcome Knock-off! You may have to change your name...you might actually have a "real" Mosrite! Post photos and you'll get the best answer.

What does the neck plate look like? This is sometimes a key identifier

That is a Japanese Firstman Mosrite bass from the 70's. Pretty rare. they made mostly 6 string models.
