Double Neck Tele by Semie, 1953??

Postby IPLAYLOUD » Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:18 pm

Still owned and gigged (!!) by a man who bought it at a Pawn Shop in Washington State in November of 1954 for $210.00.
One of Semie's earliest works, I would think.

Distinctive and for sure a bit of guitar-iana history.

Thank you.

Was that a modification or an original guitar that Semie built? Regardless, It is of interest to me, Think of that: It's not much bigger or heavier than a regular Tele and a person could mod an existing guitar in that way.

If this was bought in 54 than that might have originally been a Broadcaster or a Nocaster. I'ld like to see the back and the side of the guitar to see how it was modded

Wow. It looks like it could be a cut down Fender body. I'd expect it would be; why else maintain the Telecaster shape?

What a wild, wild guitar!!
