Is this doubleneck really a Joe Maphis model?

I'm not a Mosrite expert but this guitar doesn't seem to be correctly identified. If it is, my apology. But if it isn't, is there anyone here in charge of contacting them and bringing it to their attention or am I just spinning my wheels?

I now realize my mistake. I should have ignored the body shape and concentrated on the name. The reason I got farmisht was that I owned a Joe Maphis model in the '80s and I thought Maphis models were all shaped the same, like this:

most of the regular forum members know this but just so you know the first version of what became the ventures one model was originally the first joe maphis model. and from my understanding on the double and triple necks, all of them where custom made. sweet JM bass by the way. about ten years ago I almost had a sweet guitar version. it only was going for 800 at the time, bummer!!!

Don't feel bad, I paid $200 for my first, ca. 1965, Mosrite THE VENTURES model bass (the one as my Avatar). About the same or less for the one I'm holding in the photo, above. Like I say, who knew?

You bet, and I don't know where I came up with the loot but if I had put it into a savings account I'd have about $1,000+- and that bass is now worth about $1,500-$2,000. Like I said, who knew? Definitely not me!

About this same time I used to look up at another THE VENTURES model bass hanging in a pawn shop window but I never inquired about it and it was really nice looking too. Something about the good ol' days.

I had an Aria Pro SB1000 Black 'n' Gold that I also bought for approx. $200 in L.A. in the '80s and now on eBay they approximate $1,000. And my J.K. Lado, and...
