I have the Transistors, Resistors, etc that were described on Mr. Bill's list. Does anybody have any advice as to how big my perf board should be? I am following the schematic from fuzzcentral.
excuse my ignorance, but what is EBC? this is my first time attempting anything like this so i dont know what some of this stuff means.
Could somebody possibly post a finished photo of the guts of one of theirs? Thanks

After a bit of research i answered the EBC question, but the perfboard dimension question still remains. And would it matter if I use Germanium transistors instead of the 2N3904s? Cheers

Re: Having a go at building a Fuzzrite, a few questions
After pulling an all nighter, i've finally figured out all i need to know about wiring this project.

(simplified wiring chart, at least for me)
x4 470k resistors (1/4 watt but 1/8 watt and 1/2 watt should be fine)
x2 npn bipolar transistors (2N2222,2N3409,2N4401 and others)
x2 .05uf caps film or ceramic(original used ceramic and .047uf should work)
x2 .002uf caps film or ceramic (again ceramic for the original and .0022uf will work)
x1 500k linear taper pot
x1 50k audio taper pot
I ordered most of my parts from this website
http://www.fuzzboxworld.com/index.html
I ordered the ceramic capacitors from another source. And if the snow lets up tomorrow i'm going to go to radioshack and pick up the resistors, transistors, and miniboard.

You've been a busy boy Mike!
Looking forward to seeing you do this. Might have to go "Olav See, Olav Do" on it.

Victory is mine

one of my volume control holes is a bit off, i think im just going to transfer it into a new box. Had a good time though, will deffo be building more of these!
