Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish Mos' players. Today I got a nice little effect pedal. The Zoom G1N EXT. Nice little gadget this thing is. 31 effects, a few drum tracks and more! Now thats just 1 thing I got. Now. Back a few months ago the man who I buy guitars stuff from had bought a Univox back in 1978 (so he says) He told me he sold it. He did, to my dad. I am now a PROUD owner of a Univox Hi Flier! Heres my question. I have NO idea what year this thing really is. I was told a 1975 but im not sure. Serial number?

Re: Not Quite a Mosrite
First of all, you know better than to ask a question on a cool guitar without posting pics.
don't make me take my belt off...
Second; info on Univox is here: http://www.univox.org/guitars/
No serial numbers on this site, but I reckon Univox got the same kind s/n registration thet Aria did.
They were basically the same guitar, just a different name on the headstock.
check this site; http://www.matsumoku.org/models/models.html
Also I do believe there's a member here with both an Aria and a Univox Mo' copy. I don't remember their name though. Maybe he/she can tune in.

Re: Not Quite a Mosrite
Whoa, that's an angry looking guitar! I never saw one like that...
Humbucker are retrofit maybe? Black is a refin? Can you do a semi-close up of the headstock please? (see? I can do it...)
Maybe you can tell if the logo is a decal under or over the clear coat?
Sure is a great catch! Congrats!
