Howdy all,
My name is Allen Roberts, and since mid September of 1966, I have been the one and only, very proud, owner of a Ventures model Mosrite. It has a serial # of 1746, apparently was manufactured on July 27, 1965 as that is the date that is printed on the neck and body. It has the "Sunburst" paint and the "The Ventures" logo is most definitely not a decal, as it matches the "Mosrite of California" logo. I have always believed that I had something special as anytime I mentioned that I have a Mosrite, I'm always asked if I want to sell it. I have to decline, of course. With all respect to Fender, Rickenbacker, etc, I have a Rolls Royce of a guitar, and not many folks can say that !! Its great that there is a site for Mosrites, and I look forward to a long association with ya'll : )

Howdy too Allen and welcome, it's always good to hear a positive story by someone who has NOT parted with his prized guitar, like so many of us have so foolishly parted with our first loves in bygone days. Do you still play your '65 Mosrite regularly? Enjoy the Mosrite Forum

To answer all of your questions: Dennis, it has Vibramute on the trem, Sarah, I will try to get pics up asap, but mine is identical to the Mosrite forum logo guitar, Veenture, yes I do try to play it as often as I can, Rog, thank you, I know I will, and Jim, thank you sir, appreciate it very much : ). Oh, and the " Knock Me Out" album is one of my all time favorites! In December 1985, I was able to attend a concert given by The Ventures, and afterwards, they signed autographs and I have a pic of myself with Don Wilson, Bob Bogle, and Mel Taylor. They couldnt have been any more gracious, and its something I will always treasure.
