Re: The True Meaning of Memorial Day
Thanks for sharing that Dennis. It was very moving and totally awesome. My family has served this country from the beginning. I am thankful. My roommate's boyfriend (also a roommate) has served two tours in Iraq and we're glad to have him home. He loves being a Navy SeaBee.

Re: The True Meaning of Memorial Day
I (and many more with me) have my life to thank to the US-, Canadian- and British forces (and my parents -r.i.p.), for being alive today.
Thanks to them I made it through that ill-fated "Hunger Winter" of '44 -the year in which I first saw the light of day (night actually) in war-torn Amsterdam.
But in the video, isn't that the same Oliver North I remember playing a major role in the Iran-Contra scandal during the 80's?

Re: The True Meaning of Memorial Day
Two many people forget just what this holiday is all about. I come from a family that has seen almost all of my relatives serve this country. WWII, Korea, Viet Nam.I can remember standing at the DMZ in Viet Nam several times and it was no fun. I am glad to see that there are people that do still remember what this day is all about.
