Danny, Danny, Danny; don't you know that you will never prosper in this town with that kind of attitude?!?!?

Oh, wait a second; you live in the REAL world.

I love living and working in the DC area, but I wish some of the other folks here would move. I have a feeling that after the election in November, I will get my wish!!!

Thanks, Danny! I'm glad you have decided to keep the forum up and running, Also I didn't say this earlier but out of all the guitar forums I frequent this is the most informative to me.

That's a big load off my mind. I would hate to see this place go. I love it here.

All I can say is, WOW! I appreciate all the support and the offers of assistance.

Baring any unforeseen major disasters and to set everyone's mind at ease, the forum will remain operational.

If by chance there is some down time with the forum in the future, don't get upset as there may be some changes made. However, any changes will be to enhance the forum.

Spell check! It should be "Barring" any major disasters.... "Baring" a major disaster means no clothing and I just might have nightmares! Yikes! Okay, I'm kidding! I'm here for you! Just trying to help! :D

This is one of the best guitar-oriented forums I've found. For the most part, everybody's civilized--there's no gratuitous flaming like I've run into on some other forums, and there are some really knowledgeable folks on here. I've learned things about Mosrite history that I never would have found anywhere else, and I've just bought a Hallmark 60 Custom, based partially on input from Bob Shade and a host of Hallmark owners. I'm fascinated by history, and I'm pretty obsessive about the minutiae of guitar-company histories, and I've been a Mosrite fan since I first saw one on the cover of a Ventures album back in the '60's. As other people have said, the history of Mosrite has more twists and turns than any four other guitar companies can claim, and I've found out a lot of it on this very forum. I'm glad to hear it's going to continue, and I'm definitely in favor of continuing to cover all the variations from actual Semie-built Mosrites to Japanese remakes to all the various clones. There's room for everybody. Danny--keep up the good work! Mosrite forever! -Jon

Boy, that would just be my luck, make some new friends meet some nice people on this forum and lose it. Well it's good to hear that it will continue to be open, I enjoy this very much just too bad your all so far away. I hope my little bul.... project added something to this forum, even though I'm not building a mosrite however, perhaps I shall attempt to do so in the near future :D

Hey Danny,

I think you already know how much I appreciate the forum. And I’m on here more often then I check my own email, but here's one other thing to consider. Before the forum, my main place to look up all things Mosrite was Ebay! Not a lot of info there. There was Tym's website, which is really good, and all due respect to Tym, his site doesn't compare to this. I completely understand what you're saying about the forum. That sometimes it will drop off in participation, and that is probably inevitable. At some point you will hear all the stories there is to be told of Semie and the Mosrite brand. But consider this. Before the forum, think of how much misinformation out there that has shaped the ideas about this legendary guitar company in the negative way. This forum has answered more truths about Mosrite then can be found anywhere. There is no book, place, museum, hall of fame, that has the information about Mosrite as this forum does. For that, I believe it’s importance to the Mosrite brand will not be totally grasped until several years from now.
One other point. This forum not only is preserving the history of Mosrite and Semie Moseley, but I submit to you, that it also is MAKING HISTORY. And even if there was zero participation to this forum, I think that, in and of it’s self, is a worthy reason to keep this forum alive. Just my two cents.
Cheers,
Aaron
