Brand new to the forum!
Hello, all. I am a freelance recording engineer in Nashville, TN. and have been for many years. In my younger days, I played in many different bands in Memphis, TN. When I was 14 years old, I heard "Walk Don't Run" on the radio and I decided that I had to play the guitar! I'm sure that's the story for millions of guitar players around the world. The Ventures were "it" for me. I eagerly awaited every album release and spent all my time learning their songs. Of course, when I started listening to the ventures, they were playing Fender guitars so I had to have a Stratocaster. Well, later, when they switched to Mosrites, I had to switch too. Now I haven't been playing for quite a long time and I think I want to take it up again. I have long ago gotten rid of all my gear so now I want to buy a guitar. Naturally, I want a Mosrite, but they are sooo expensive. I'm thinking I will go with the Hallmark 60 Custom. I hope I haven't been too long-winded here. I am enjoying all the posts about the Mosrites and the clones.

Welcome, Which Mosrite model did you have back in the day? I'm guessing it was the Mark I/Ventures Model as seen in the link below?

Sounds familiar, heh heh...once it's in the blood...jtarbutn wrote:Now I haven't been playing for quite a long time and I think I want to take it up again. I have long ago gotten rid of all my gear so now I want to buy a guitar.

Welcome jtarbutn and good luck in making the 'rite' choice. (I think it boils down to the amount of $$$ you intend spending on a guitar).
