Recently browsing another forum, the subject of guitar names came up again.
It's been personal experience, sometimes guitars will tell you their name, sometimes you will name them, like a pet, and sometimes, they and you do not see the need for a name.
How'a bout youse and your guitars?
Do your Mo's (ad others) have names?

I'm not very original when it comes to naming inanimate objects
I call 'em...my "Sunburst" (H60C), my "Daphne Blue" (MIM Strat) and last but not least, "57 Re-issue" (USA Tobacco-burst Strat)...

Well I guess now I have to bring it out in the open, so yes I have named a few of my Mosrites.
Sunburst Super Custom 64: Sunny (or Sonny if you like.)
Blue Excellent 65: Bluey.
Pearl white Excellent 65: Pearl.
Okay, I didn't say they were winners.
Bill.

I don't have names for my guitars. I could probably think of some though. Hmm...
Squier V.M. Tele Thinline - Goldie (The finish isn't exactly gold but I can't think of a name that I like better)
Riff Gibson ES-335 Copy - Jumbo/Jimbo/Jimmy/Jay (I'm leaning towards the name Jimmy)
Austin

Re: Do your Mo's (and others) have names?
It's a really popular recurring topic on the Fender Forum.
Personally, 'see guitars more as pets or pals than inanimate, ergo, deserving of names if they "tell you" theirs, or one just fits because of some associative memory.
Wow, cosmic, man.
As a tres' small toddler, 'had a toy plastic gitar which Mother says, was referred to, by her foundering wee'un...."Where's my tar-ger?"
And for whatever goofy-afs reason, the Mk I became "Tar-ger," literally at first sight.
