Re: Members wearing their Mosrite Forum T Shirts!
I was wearing my black Forum T-shirt (same as Sixstringer's in the above post) at a Vintage Guitar Fair today, here in Holland. At this bi-annual meeting, guitars of every shape and size are offered for sale but I did not see a single Mosrite…as could be predicted I suppose. However that didn’t dampen my spirits because in a way it felt like my T-shirt was a Mosrite-kinda-representaion of sorts too and it made me feel proud and special wearing it even though only 2 people commented on it.
The doorman offered me a free ticket in exchange for my shirt…LOL…I paid my entrance fee with cash money of course but it was humerous. The second person who approached me was none other than fellow countryman and Mosrite Forum member here, Paul Selier (pauliventura)!
Nice show but the Vintage stuff really sported expensive price tags. (I know, but it's a figure of speech -like we also say "the kettle is boiling" implying the water inside it of course. Dorckrockrecords, help me out here please, I forget it's name)
I don’t think many instruments -if at all any- changed hands today…people seem to turn over every nickel and dime… eh… euro cent these days before reverting to spending. Sound familiar your way? Anyway, I had a nice day. (sorry no pics...

Re: Members wearing their Mosrite Forum T Shirts!
I don't wear my Mosrite T shirt too often as I don't want it to wear out.
But, when I do I always get comments or at least weird looks. Judging by our demographic survey it is obvious that the younger generation needs to be more exposed to Mosrite guitars. Personally my feeling is (and this is just my opinion) off shoot semi Mosrite copies such as Eastwood, Dilllion, etc, are giving Semie a bad rap as people associate Mosrite with some type of economy guitar not allowing the true guitar to come through. Obviously those that have been around a while are more educated when it comes to Mosrite and place them above Fender, Gibson and PRS. The problem as I see it is, Mosrite (whom ever owns the rights) needs to promote themself and get Mosrites into the hands of guitar playing superstars. Semie tried but fell short.
In early December I am going to a convention for cowboy action shooters in Las Vegas and I will be wearing my forum T shirt when I go visit Ed Romans store. I bet I'll draw some attention then.

Ain't that the truth.
Recently I was talking to a rather young sales assistant in a guitar shop when he asked me the inevitable question " So what guitar do you play?". I knew where this was going and I got the usual blank stare when I told him Mosrite. I could always leave it there I guess, but I feel duty-bound to give them even the briefest rundown on Mosrite history, knowing full well that it probably won't sink in ... but I still have to try.
