Re: Hallmark Owner's Corner!
I use flatwounds on all my guitars. Either Pyramids or D'addario chromes. The best sound and feel in my opinion. My hallmark Deke has more low end with Chromes 10s than with any other gauge or make of string for some reason. And I have zero intonation problems with the Hallmark, Mosrite or Bigsby vibrato units. When used with a thin pick, they have a very distinct attack that you can only find with flatwounds. For the old fashioned country playing I do, the sound is perfect.

Yeah Jim, I tried thru 3 amps I have now, a reissue Vibroverb, a Peavey valveking 112, and a Line 6 spyder 30 -all very different sounding amps. The chromes came through rich, clear and full on all 3. The surf stuff on the Fender, with the outboard Fender r.i. reverb tank, sounded phenomenal -more like what I used to get with my old Jazzmaster. I encourage everyone to try these!

I'm blown away... I have my Hallmark...now I realise it just needs a '58 Dodge Custom Royal to go with it
What a stunning Convertible Maui! Is it a DeSoto '58/'59 ? GORGEOUS...drool. USA 50's cars are absolutely my all time favourites.
When we were still teenagers, my dad once bought a black 1955 Dodge Royal V8 automatic (or shall I say my brother and I made him buy it! ). It had the famous Red Ram engine I remember. Loved that Car.

Hey, Maui--
If that is a '58 Desoto, I had a white coupe of the same model. Came home from college to find my mom had given it to the garbage man. Aaaggghhh!!!
Pushbutton transmission, add-on (Mark IV?) AC that would throw ice at you from above the back seat. Fast, too!
What a wonderful car and I love your Hallmark because I have the same one! Playing my first gig with it Saturday.

Re: Hallmark Owner's Corner!
That's a '59, isn't it? My Great Uncle had a hardtop the same color. It wouldn't fit in my Grandfather's garage, when they came to visit.
