The elusive Bob Shade has whetted our appetites and left us wanting more - a masterful marketing device. C'mon, Bob - we're going to be up all night waiting for the ordering info ...

Wow dubtrub, Thanks for those Gene Moles Photos for comparison. I am getting really stoked over this new Hallmark. Mr Shade has out did himself. I am also impressed that he came to the Forum members first with the "unveiling". :D

Very impressive. Puts a whole new dimension on the Mosrite tribute
replica's. You have a leg up on the competition with this one Bob.

Nice job Bob! I was once at a guitar show in Pasadena and a vendor had a very early "Joe Maphis model" that looked very similar to this. It was the first time I ever saw an actual "vibramute", complete with the mute. He said that this guitar was similar to, or could have possibly been the actual guitar Semie first loaned to Nokie Edwards to try out. Who knows, but he was asking something like $40,000.00, and that was probably 15 yrs. ago.

This was truly a cool idea for a re-issue, though, and a very clever way to unveil it.

I notice Bob is now marketing Custom 60's on ebay, with reference to this forum, and quoting my response about my own Custom 60. I am flattered. I think Semie would have liked Bob....

Hey Bob, if I order one you have to make a 'El Twang' plate just like the one Gene Moles had on his 8-)
