Doubleneck out of Bakersfield?

Hey gang, I tend to agree with you all that the metal plate is probably aftermarket, but I'm not so sure about the strap buttons. Check out my late 60's "Parts-Rite" (which was an employee guitar, according to Ed Elliot). 4 strap buttons, though it doesn't have one in the annoying place that the Lou Martin one does.

I went back to have a closer look at your doubleneck Parts-Rite (first "Mosrite" that you ever had) and noticed too that both headstocks are NOT aligned in the same angle I'm used to seeing on double(triple?)necks, like the yellow one in this thread. Could one of the headstocks of yours have been meant for a lefty guitar possibly do you think?

Remember, doublenecks with octave necks were pretty much history by 1964, and this Parts-Rite was made with mostly 70's parts....but it does make it look somewhat unique! Anybody have a guitar geek term ("pointing out headstocks?") they want to coin for this phenomenon?

How about a "SHY DOUBLENECK" (because the two headstocks are looking/facing away from each other...

As I study this 1966 doubleneck further, the underside of the pickups reveal something I wasn't aware of: a piece of gold foil between the bobbin and the magnet. Is this common?
