I think I'll enlarge the control cavity and route the big hole under the bridge plate to reduce some weight, at least down to 4 kg

I had a Morales I got in 2016 and liked it. Looked good and sounded good but made of Mahogany so it weighed like a Les Paul which was the only downside to it. Got a circa 1970 Mosrite Avenger so sold the Morales. I did put Ed Elliot Mosrite pickups in it and it still didn't sound quite like a Mosrite but it was not the pickups, it was the mahogany and heavy weight. Later put the stock pickups back in and it sounded better.
