Well browsing for some morsite on the net,i've crossed a few "Excellent" mosrite.I dont know much about those..except that they are MIJ.The ones i saw looks pretty good,and i would like to know what you think about those?

Excellent brand are made by Japanese company; Kurokumo. They are nice Mosrite copies.

At the top of each page here on the forum there is a search feature, click on the word 'Search' and a new window will open. From there you have several options, but the best thing to do is simply type in the word for the topic you want to locate such as Excellent, Blues bender, Ranger. Just about ever topic you could imagine that is related to Mosrite has been discussed on the forum at least one time.

The Excellent made by Kurokamo is a wonderful copy of the the mosrite. The nut of the Excellent is a little different as is the body shape and size. The sound is right on. I find that my Excellent will stay in tune while the Mosrite Original made by Dana Mosely, that I have, will go out of tune very easilly if the vibrato is used. If mine were stolen I would have to hire blood hounds and hunt the thief down. Overall rating on a scale of 1 to 10 would have to be 9.999. Not 10 because of the difference in the nut shape and profile.

Kurokamo would mean "black duck" and is not the name of the guitar company. It's Kurokumo or "black cloud."

Hey Ya, whilst in tokyo i played new fillmore and both new and used Kurokamo (black clouds) personally i felt the necks on the Kurokamo's felt better in my hands than the fillmore guitars. The Kurokamo's also were cheaper because you could buy them used.
excellent's come in excellent and super excellent (which have better pickups from my understanding)
I was told that if you replace the excellent trem with a brass made vibramute the sound of the excellent will sound better but i have not tried that .... yet.
It was interesting visiting music liner and seeing them all new on the wall.

I noticed a similar tuning issue with my Mosrite Original that my other Fillmore Mosrites haven't exhibited, but only when the strings are new and only when using the vibrato. The Fillmores stay perfectly in tune for weeks at a time, but the necks don't feel quite as good to me as my Original.
