Hi!
Does someone ever tried a mark-II?I know they come in two model,the standard(with 2 single coil pups) and the deluxe (with 1 single coil in the bridge pos. and a mini humbuker in the neck pos.) they both got a roller bridge,but a "gibson" kinda tail piece.

Well as far as the vintage ones go, There aren't many of them. There are fewer than 200 of them, At least 146. The original had a vibrato* only seen on that model, The vibrato has never been reissued either. The original also has special Mosrite pickups. Here's a few pictures of Tym's Blue Mark II to give you an idea.





I couldn't really tell you the differences between the reissues though, I'm not to savvy about the reissues.

Although widely known as Tremolo, It is really a Vibrato. Vibrato = Alternating the tuning, Tremolo = Alternating the volume.

To clarify, Spankin Allison is not referring to the instrument 101Volts so graciously posted, but the Fillmore models. (And vibrato refers to a variation in pitch, not tuning).

I just thought he'd like some history of the original model as well. And variation in pitch is what I was trying to say, I couldn't find the word for it when I was writing it though.

Yes sir! I'm talkin about those exactly...the one with 2 diffrent knobs...I wonder if i could score a clip of the tone somewhere...i think the single coil is a Dimarzio,but im not sure..and the mini humbucker...i wonder if is a mosrite or another brand?

The mini humbucker is a Seymour Duncan, and someone here is/was toying with the idea of selling his:

The different knobs and pickups you're referring replicate the modifications Johnny Ramone made to his Mark II, they were not standard on this model. The single coil is a Fender Fat Strat and the mini H/B is a Seymour Duncan. I'm almost sure that the single coil bridge pickup is that of the DiMarzio FZ-1.......

I stand corrected—the single coil is a Dimarzio.
Dunno what I was thinking there.
