Is this for ones people personally own or just any photos? I don't have any Mosrites or clones. Would be great if I did.

One of these is an original '66 and the other is an Excellent. Can you tell the difference? (I know Mel can!)

The original is on the right with the arm hanging down.

Is the floppy arm the give away? I've since fixed that, thanks to dubtrub's washer trick! And Fritz's guitar is one excellent Excellent.

Something I've noticed from my first ever Mosrite sighting is that on originals—to my eyes at least—the sunburst finish where the yellow meets red, has a purple-ish tinge to it. I see it in this photo ( actually it shows up better in pics )and it's clearly evident on my Celebrity.
Anyways that's how I picked it.

I too had erectremo dysfunction with my Fillmore. I replaced the flimsy arm with one off a Hallmark 60s & put a fat rubber washer in between it & the bridge. Now mine sticks out, up, or anyway I want!

Mostly would like to see owners. Always see the sunburst, candy apply red & cream models. Wondering what else is out there.

i could tell too, cuz the aged pickguard, and the truss rod cover on the mosrite on the right. the japanese models never make mosrites with the truss rod covers on the headstock. and if that doesn't give it away, the japanese knobs are slightly smaller then the semie made mosrite knobs. I'm assuming this is because of the metric system used on japanese instruments.

I have a whole clone clan - 2 MIJs, 1 Hallmark, and a Nokie model PartsRite ...

And the early Fillmore/Firstmans had truss rod covers on the headstock (above and below) ...
