No, that's apparently a replacement p'up. No big deal if it doesn't bother you. Me, I probably seek out a smooth cover from Ed Elliott or maybe Bob Shade, just to keep the original concept but not a deal breaker.

I thought the Kurokumo "of California" models also had "of California" on the pickups. That pickup only says Mosrite.

Yes, it looks to be a nice guitar at a good price but I realized that I was not prepared to buy a guitar and then immediately start looking for parts to fix what disturbs the eye.

Actually I do not need more guitars, I'm pretty happy with the ones I have. I have sold my home studio, guitar amplifiers, guitars, bass, mandolin, Dobro, Korg BX3, rack effects and pedals when we needed to make a major repair on the house. The remaining money paid vacation for the whole family, believe me when I say that my kids do not care about if their dad has a another cool guitar. My kids holiday memories are worth so much more to me.

There were some really cool stuff... 8-)
