Hey Bob, thanks for the info. That explains a lot. I've used your early non-locking and locking as well as the ones I've bought off eBay which I thought sure looked a lot like the Hallmark bridges that I've purchased from you.
Regardless, I'm glad to see M-3 getting their guitars available for the market and I wish them and all guitar builders great success.
Sorry for hijacking the original topic.

Re: Independance Day
Nice jib, Bob!
Funny, I always thought the fundamental Rollermatic bridge design was engineered by Semie Moseley - my mistake. As for the "Hallmark" bridge, we sent a picture of a genuine Mosrite Rollermatic bridge to one of our suppliers, who also happens to have special parts made upon request. They told us they already had 'something similar' and sent us a couple as a sample. I asked them if it was made by 'Hallmark' or if it was made in the US and they said that all they knew was that it was made overseas. It's ok, but no cigar. In the first two sample pieces we acquired, the rollers were frozen. I had to actually take the rollers out of the saddles and bend the saddles apart before putting the rollers back in. They assured me that the rest wouldn't be that way and, so far, they haven't. But after taking them apart, I realized how easy it would be to machine these ourselves. Eventually, we're planning to manufacture them ourselves. However, seeing as the ABM roller bridge has the same radius and same string spacing, AND is made in the US, it just seemed more practical to provide the ABM's for the more expensive models. All around, they're a more solid piece of hardware.
The ABM bridge is far superior (see photo below.) The vibratos, knobs, string-guides, neckplates, and all the other hardware is (except the tuners) is made in California.

But I must ask, what do the push buttons below the knobs do?
The person we built this for didn't like push/pulls or push/push pots and toggle switches weren't an option. So we opted for the push-push switches. They're a little more discreet and user-friendly than toggles. Not as discreet as push/pulls, though.

Hey Bob, interesting that you didn't notice that we were stocking, selling, and experimenting with these bridges two years ago. By the way, the radius on the "Hallmark" bridge is 12" and 2-1/16" string spacing. The ABM is also 12" radius and 2-1/16" string spacing. The original Rollermatic bridges we have are 12" radius, but the string-spacing is 1-7/8". Very narrow. That's probably why the pole spaces didn't line up on the pickups.

I forgot to mention though, that they control the Dual Tone pickups and the Hot Circuit. We wanted to have Mel do a video of this guitar but it's already in the hands of the owner.

Great looking Patriotic guitar. It's almost like it should have a copy of "The Declaration of Independence" included with it!!!

You know...out of all the clever things I've heard, that really tickled me. A lot of things will make me grin or smile, but that one actually made me chuckle quite a bit for some reason. I was imagining an authentic replica copy of the Declaration shipped in the case of each one.
