Stratorama, sorry for not getting back to you and answering your question as I was out of town for awhile. I find that the difference in sound is in the pick ups. I'm not saying that it is bad as I love it especially for jazz and soft rock. I find that Dana's pickups(Fillmore USA made to original specs) and the original Mosrite pickups have more treble. It may be just the way the pickups are wound and potted on my guitar and other Hallmarks may sound different, but either way I love my Hallmark. I consider the Hallmark as one of the best values there is. I will have to admit I get some funny looks when I show up at a Jazz venue with a Mosrite type guitar but the funny looks quickly stop when the amazing sound is heard.

Thanks for the answer MOSDAN. Interesting comment about the jazz playing. I've been working on swing/jump blues(think Hollywood Fats, Charlie Baty, Kid Ramos) style now, and find the Hallmark 60C produces some great tones.
