So, what in the heck am I digging up an old thread for???
Answer: It's always a good idea to go back and re-read old threads, a lot of times you'll find an
answer to a question you might be posting. Anyhow, our gal Dana has been updating this, and
she did not even tell us. Yeah, you will see a lot of familiar old pix, but Dana has posted new ones
that I have never seen. There's one pic of a one pick-up Mo' (it's not the one we've seen B4) and the
headstock is 6 in line tuners (Fender). The body looks like it might of been a predecessor to a MARK-II,
and there are other pix that are interesting. When you get a chance folks, check it out...... ;)

I wish I could read Japanese. It looks like a ton of information. I did see a picture of me in one of the past blogs about the first Jamm, so I'm known in Japan! How cool is that!

For those of you who could not pull this up on your 'puter, this was the
1 pick-up guitar with the different headstock that I was referring to and
there is a second one of these hiding directly behind the young lady......

That guitar looks really tiny. I like the green Celebrity on the right and the Dobro on the left. It's interesting that the Dobro with the double cut body was offered at the same time as the one with the acoustic body.

Actually the double cut is the D-100 (the Californian) and the Spanish acoustic is the D-50 (the Richmond). They were just 2 models of the Dobro Series that were being manufactured at the same time. Other Dobro models were the D-50 (Uncle Josh), 3/4 size model C-3 (the Monterey), D-12 (the Columbia), and the D-8 (5 string banjo) which
we all saw listed on E-Bay a while back. With the D-100 (Californian) already being electric and sharing the same body with the Celebrity CE-II MARK I , all other models were
full body acoustics. The full body acoustics with an (E) at the end of the model number only indicated that it was an electric model.......

For those of you that wish they could read Japanese, you can use a translater that is in Bing or use the Windows translater. Go to the Blog site and hi-lite the section you want to translate. Then "right click" with your mouse and one of the options should be a translater. It translates good enough to get the jist of what the blog says. I hope this helps!!!
