Do you like clones or moderns better than vintage Mosrite's?

Do the more recent vintage Mosrites have wider necks? I don't have a vintage Ventures model, but I have a Celebrity from '69ish and a Joe Maphis model & it seems like my V88 has a wider neck then the pair of them.

And just a side note, I got my Hallmark Sheena model on Monday & I really, really, really, really like it.

i was wondering if hallmarks have a satin or high gloss finish on the neck. i know a lot of modern players prefer the satin feel on a neck, but to me it just feels cheap. I've played a few fillmores, and I liked them, but not as much as the real thing. I've played several 60's mosrites, and the necks never bothered me, although the 70's necks to me are like god.

i have never got a chance to jam on a hallmark, but I really can't wait to try one out.

The Hallmarks I've seen are high-gloss all the way, and a wonderful finish it is.

Like you, satin finishes look cheap to me and I hate the way they feel.

I tried hard to love satin finishes but it just didn't work!
