I think you're missing the point, 101.


I was... I see the fact that Vibramute vibratos were made out of Aluminum (Or another metal) And the Moseley bridges were made out of chrome plated brass. I'm not sure how the sound would differ, I haven't played a guitar with a bridge cast out of aluminum. On the other hand, I was referring to the bridge and not the vibrato part.

Semie went back to casting his Vibramute's out of brass and chrome plating them in the '70s. Maybe I'm tone deaf but what ever the composition of metal used I can't tell the difference.

I may be wrong, but I'm not even sure the number of aluminum Vibramutes produced in the early '60s is statistically significant in a general discussion. Speaking generally (as Danny said), the only difference between a Moseley and a Vibramute is aesthetic.

This topic is getting way off message. By the way, I'm pretty sure that white one pictured above says "Ranger" on the headstock.

Well i didnt know at first that "Ranger's" model was actually written under mosrite on the headstock.
