Mosrite Fuzzrite on Bass guitar?

I´ve started playing bass and finally, the fuzz is calling me. In absence of proper bass fuzzes, I´ve started using my guitar pedals to see what suits it best and my germanium fuzzrite clone, Rite-On by Retroman, is sounding pretty gnarly. Bob Bogle used some fuzz boxes on the bass guitar, and I assumed it was a Fuzzrite, there are many songs, but my favorite was Wild Child, fuzzed out bass, and Nokie going to town with some tuneful bending!

There is hardly any info out there about using a fuzzrite on bass. I guess in the 60´s there wasn´t much choice. Maestro Fuzz, Fuzzrite and Fuzz Face, neither of those are great for fuzz, but how did Bogle get his fuzz sound?

I made a quick demo using my fuzzrite on a bass, but it has humbuckers and is pretty hot, I need to play around with the EQ to fine tune it. I used the neck humbucker, and it sounds pretty farty.
The band liked it at rehearsal but it does suck out a lot of lows.
