Do the Brass Rail, Bluesbender and S.M. models have the same shape?

I saw chad3006's topic about Brass Rail plans;
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7339I looked and realized the Bluesbender and Brass Rail bodies look very close if not the same.

I then remembered the S.M. model (few of these were made:)

They look like they all share the exact same body shape, only the S.M. model doesn't have a German Carve. Is this the case?

Letttttttttt's find out....

They're the same size but the Bluesbender feels like it's made out of lighter wood than the Brass Rail. Hard to tell though as there's more metal and hardware on the BR.

Thanks, Sumlin! It makes sense if the Brass Rail's body's heavier to counterbalance the neck. If I recall right, I read that the Brass Rail's body is either made out of Wenge or Black Walnut. Since I have a Brass Rail and they're the same size and shape I might build a Bluesbender copy.

Not sure what my Brass Rail is made of, other than the routing looks like it was done at 4.55pm on a friday after a liquid working lunch...

I'm not sure if that's stock or not? I know Mosrite's quality in the 70s can be spotty at times.

It's factory but maybe not done all at the same time - seems to be routed on the back originally (as though it was going to be a 'Deluxe' Brass Rail) and then re-routed on the top to house controls on a scratchplate (like the ones with brass lower scratchplates).
The scratchplate material is identical though so it was likely done at Mosrite according to those in the know...
