You've pretty much deciphered it, it's a Mosrite Combo from the mid to late '60s. The date is usually stamped/written on the neck mounting area, it must be removed to be visible. The current resale ranges from about $1000 to $2500 depending on condition and how realistic the seller's expectations are.

thank you for getting back to me, i will check the date on it and see. Someone is interested in buying it from me, and I can't figure out how to go about setting up a price

not sure if that case is original. my combo case has red plush (same as this one) but is wider has softer areas that are the same shape as the combos body curves. and my compartment is longer length wise and is on the opposite side. my handle is totally different too.
you can also date the Pots (Search for a Pot Dater online and there's a chart with serial numbers) and get an idea of the actual year if it's not written in the neck socket. also i think they started putting ®'s on the logos on the pickups in 1966...
