'68 Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp and an early '70s Mosrite.
Both were retired when they got to be too heavy for his bad back.
He's almost 90 and still playing in a classic country band.
He's my inspiration.
Both were purchased (new) by our family for him as Christmas presents.
Can someone tell me what model Mosrite this is? Serial #V0380

Nice to hear about someone still pickin' at that age. Go Dad!
If that's an early-to-mid-'70's guitar, it was called (I think) a V-2, basically a Ventures Model without the Ventures logo. In the '74 Mosrite catalog, that model had humbucking pickups instead of the single-coils on your dad's, and also had two pushbutton switches that were probably tone bypass switches. Yours is probably a little earlier than '74. Sometime in the early-'70's, they went to a wider (the '60's ones couldn't have been much narrower!) neck with bigger frets. I got a Mosrite Stereo 350 new in '74, and it had the wider neck.

I had gotten my Mosrite about '70 or '71 (which was stolen). We got Dad's in either '71 or '72.
Would the pickups be similar to a P90?
The neck is quite small.

Hi Donzi.
Very nice rig! That was kind of a transitional period for Mosrite. If you check some of the threads above, I think there is one with the Mosrite story, complete with bankruptcy, reformations and relocations. The pick-ups are sort of like a P-90, but construction/design has a few major differences. They definitely have their own unique sound.

Bless your father!
Thank you for sharing the photo.
An ideal guitar-amp rig, basics are best in many ways.
