Mosrite Ventures II (slab) contours?

Hey guys :)

I've been really confused recently because I keep reading that the new Fillmore Mosrite mark II slab bodies bear 'original contours,' and by 'original' I presume that means that it has all the same contours as the 1964 original, however I can't find any pictures that seem to show these 'contours', I thought maybe it had the same as a strat with the elbow and waist contours, however they all seem to be flat, and if they did have those contours, surely that would mean that they weren't slab bodied guitars :P

Could someone tell me more about these seemingly phantom contours please?

They do have a forearm contour believe it or not. it tapers on the front and the back but not enough to notice from the front. A Mosrite body is 1-5/8" thick and the where the contours meet it's roughly 1-1/8" at the narrowest point. They were not slab bodies like in the Telecaster sense.

ahh I see, thankyou!

I've been told that they have a slight bevel contour going all the way around them too, I figured this would actually be similar to a telecaster kind of body, but I wondering if maybe they were more exaggerated than that of a telecaster?
