Hi, yes I do have some photos now. I don't know how to upload them, so I slapped them onto my Flickr account.
You should be able to access them by clicking on the following link:

I can introduce myself somewhere? Really. Sorry I didn't do that first. Many apologies.
I will try to do that soon. Hope you guys find the photos illuminating!

Re: Brass Rail guitars
That is a beautiful guitar Jester.
Information wise, I have nothing to contribute as I know nothing about Brass Rail guitars. But I did find this photo and thought I would post it for viewing purposes. Does the brass rail in the neck go all the way through to the backside or is it a square bar runing the length of the fretboard?

Re: Brass Rail guitars
The rail itself is pretty substantial, probably 1/2 or 3/4" in depth, and sits in a channel in the neck much like a trussrod would.

Re: Brass Rail guitars
Yes, it seems to only go the length of the neck. that is an amazing photo of a Brass Rail Mosrite. Where did you get it from? Looks pretty cool.
In the last few days I have polised the chrome, put on new strings, and it is perfect. There are absolutely no issues with tuning, buzzing or any other issues. The Mosrite fret wire is pretty thin so I have to get used to playing that way. The Guitar is also very heavy!!

Re: Brass Rail guitars
These Brass Rail guitars look beautiful. Anyone want to keep discussing them?

Always happy to. It'd be interesting to know if The Jester ever sold his or not (judging by his absence I'd venture the former).

Re: Brass Rail guitars
I think I read somewhere that you could insert a casette of some sort into a Brass Rail or Bluesbender. I think the page said that it would change the sound. Is this true?

Re: Brass Rail guitars
Not true. Whoever wrote that must have been thinking of the Japanese Electra Guitars brand's MPC modules.
Some Brass Rails do have a modular electronics package self-contained in a sealed brass "ash tray," and in theory these could be swapped out, but since so few were produced you'd be lucky to find one, let alone several.

Re: Brass Rail guitars
I found the page on Tym Guitars.
I wonder how much of an effect these had?

Brassrail deluxe had active electronics and removable cartridges for changing to 6 different tones.
