A lot of Mosrite Celebrity Videos I recently took - Pup Swap

Postby Geoff E. Stich » Wed Mar 24, 2010 4:44 pm

Since I changed Vintage pickups (Same Style) in my Mosrite Celebrity K0500, I've been playing it alot in the last few weeks.

Testing er' out!

Etc.

Pickups makes so much a difference!!!, even with the same type and similar years can be a night and day difference!

Before, with a set of 60 pups I got off E-Bay, they sounded OK, so, so ,,, but then I put in another set of similar pickups I got off E-Bay and they really made a difference! :)

Totally different souding guitar with a lot more Spunk, Mojo!

I hope these videos come out?

A mishmash of recent Videos.

Hey, Geoff--

Thanks for posting those videos! I enjoyed them, and some of your others, too.

Don't you love that Celebrity guitar? I truly love the 1972 one I have. Just a sweet instrument.

Geoff, what Vintage P'ups did you change to?? Are they the smooth cover Mo' Humbuckers? Because I have come to the conclusion that the Mo' Humbuckers
will not feedback at a high volume as easily, also there is no humming (buzzing) coming out of the amplifier dealing with (any) single coil type pick-up(s).
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Thanks Fellows!

The orignal Pups on this Guitar were the sealed cover ones but they buzzed so I put in a pair of the older 60's pickups with the exposed screw pole pieces, twice!

I had two sets and I like the second set better.

All look the same.

Here's another post of Another Mosrite Celebrity from the Later 60s - Early 70's, I think Serial Number
2c0009!

This is my favorite sounding Mosrite Celebrity!

Fantastic videos Geoff! I really love how versatile these guitars are. You can get such a wide range of tones from them.

I have recordings of my mine but I don't know how to post them. Can anyone give me an idea how to do that?

Sarah,

To post sound files you need to have them hosted on a site (MySpace, Facebook, your website, etc.) and then provide the link. Convert the file to MP3. That makes it easier for people to upload.
