Makes me curious - how do the Mosrite humbuckers sound? How do the sound with a coil tap - anything like regular single coil Mosrites?

I LOVE my Mo's Humbuckers. They are just as good as the Gibsons. I have Coil-Taps on my
'88. I can either split the neck or the bridge. It's also wired up in such, if I split the bridge with
both P-ups on, the wiring is reversed in such a way, that I can get the "quack" tone happening
like an out of phase Tele (not the Strat). However, if both p'ups are on and split, I can get an
"in phase" single coil tone. If both p'ups are in Humbucking mode and both on, I still can get an
in phase tone, but with the Humbuckers. It's an AWESOME P'up selection for only 2 p'ups, although
you can get more, but I'm plenty happy with this set up .

I have a combo with hum-buckers and it sounds great!!! Not quite the bite of the single coil but then again feedback is not a problem, so it works out good.
No coil tap just a three way switch.. the middle position is just so sweet!!..I don't know if that means all on or a coil from each or what. Heck, they might not be Mosrite pups.. I have not seen them on any other Mosrite, they might be off of some copy but I haven't seen them on any of those so far either.

They would look EXACTLY like the single coils with the "Mosrite of California" stamped on the casings, the only difference would be that you would have 2 rows of screws for each p'up.

Oh Man! I'd love to have that guitar on eBay. Notice the neck binding across the rear of the fretboard and the larger position markers. Dennis, does your guitar have the large markers?

I would like to have that guitar also....The hum buckers I have have no stamp and there is one row of screws and a row of small rectangles about the same size as the the screws on each pup they are the same size as Mosrite pups. Do they sound like anything anyone might have seen on any other mosrite or copys? (I thought they even might be a single coil but I get none of that single coil hum)

Nope, no large markers, but my '63 does have the binding going across the rear of the fretboard.
