There you go Veenture, I borrowed Doc Brown's time machine to travel to tomorrow The description says there were five made at the most so it looks like this is indeed a rare piece, I wonder if they were made in other colors too?

Well, if you all take said time machine back just a few years you would see that same octave guitar on eBay for half the price... unsold. The Mosrite octave guitar falls in the same category as the Mosrite electric mandolin, there are definitely a few out there but they are filed under "curiosity."

Sorry Desert Surfer, I'm all out of plutonium. It isn't sold in every corner drug store, You know.

Does anyone else have pictures of these Octave models? It would be interesting to see a different one if at all possible. Not that there's anything wrong with the one we have pictures of but seeing there are so few of them, It could be interesting to have more pictures of these models.

And since we're on the time machine discussion, dialing it back to 1963 is probably not the most prudent choice (unless you want to pay top dollar for your shiny new sidejack). Semie charged Nudie Cohn $2500 for his mandolin, and that was back in the FIFTIES! A better choice might be Bakersfield, 1985, and hit the pawn shops! Marty McFly would certainly feel more at home in 1985.

Good idea, Maybe I could head on over to Aberdeen, Washington and see Nirvana in one of their very early gigs as well. The only problem is I'll have to use money from that time period to buy Mosrites from back then and dollar bills from that time period aren't in very good supply... I'll look very weird handing over a ton of quarters for a guitar.

Hold on, I don't have plutonium yet! By the way, Before Marty went back in time for the first time Doc said he was going 25 years into the future. That would be 2010 and it isn't too far off.
