My new Mosrite

Postby kalanpala » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:45 am

Got this Celebrity today ( It takes almost three months to have it in Finland from England :(, thanks to seller ). Bridge and knobs are non-original. Serial number is KO779. Is it -67? If somebody knows... Now I have four Mosrites from sixties. I wonder will this M-fever never end...

Congratulations! How does it sound compared to your other Mosrites? Are those single coil pickups or humbuckers?

I am really starting to get a serious bug for a Celeb, so these shots of super clean examples lately are making me crazy. THAT IS ONE NICE GUITAR!! CONGRATS!

Thanks for nice comments. It has single coil pickups. I have to take it to a professional set up, the non-original bridge could be better. Looks like I have to get original bridge soon. I think this is 67 or 68. I visited in Tym's Mosrite pages and noticed that Celebrity III models should have plastic Kluson tuners, this one has metal Kluson Deluxe tuners. Kalanpala

Check the pots and see what the date codes are, might give an indication if they are original... Nice guitar!
