NGD: Hallmark Deke Dickerson Model Two Prototype
http://chasingguitars.com/hallmark-deke-dickerson-model-two-prototype/
Been a fan of Hallmark guitars for quite a while. The old 60s Hallmark was an offshoot of Mosrite and was restarted by Bob Shade. I bought this Prototype direct from Bob. I have had several Hallmark guitars over the years. Custom 60, Swept Wing and first Deke Dickerson.
This is the Model Two inspired by a Custom Mosrite played by Don Rich of the Buck Owens Buckaroos on Hee Haw. I bit like a Telecaster with Bob Shade’s vibrato (which is awesome by the way) and pickups. Bob even used so NOS Mosrite pickup rings that were used on the Mosrite Electric Resonator guitars you would see Glen Campbell play years back.
This being the Prototype it lacks the Deke Dickerson Model Two logo on the headstock as it was not yet designed. Bob only has a few of these limited editions left in Blue and Black

Congrats. That's a beautiful guitar. Probably sounds as great as it looks.

Re: NGD: Hallmark Deke Dickerson Model Two Prototype
It is a limited run, but I believe that is a prototype of the limited run. Not sure of the exact numbers, but Deke had 25 of the gold sparkle for sale and Bob had some other colors. I snagged a gold one and had Bob do a custom finish on another and did it up like a Buckaroo. I'd post a picture, but I'm getting frustrated with Photobucket and don't feel up to signing up for another image hosting site at the moment. Ok, so if you're on Facebook AND in the Hallmark Owners group, you can see them there.

Deke Dickerson Model Two was a limited run in Red Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, and Black. There were a few gold ones as well. Only a few left in Blue and Black at Hallmark.
THIS guitar IS the Prototype that Bob built before the limited run was released. Basically the same as the limited run minus the Deke logo as it was not designed yet.
Plays and sounds wonderful.

Re: NGD: Hallmark Deke Dickerson Model Two Prototype
Hi guys and thank for the post!
I do have just a couple left in both Blue Sparkle and Gloss Black. These are hollow and sound fabulous. If anyone wants to add one to their collection you may want to nab one before they are all nabbed up!
Thanks again and keep pickin!
