hi jtarbutn......I noticed you are from Hendersonville, Tn..... are you familiar with Gordon Jensen? He is a great gospel songwriter and singer.....When I was with The Believers, we did a joint concert with him in Binghamton, NY back in about 1978 or so.......
He wrote a backliner on our album jacket also......he was with a group called, Gordon Jensen and Sonrise......with Wayne Hilton, Steven Speer, and Larry Orrell.....
Just wondered, it's such a small world....

Howdy Paul and fellow forumites...hope all is well with everyone.
Anyway, a lot of unfortunate things happened to me all at the same time and I had no idea where my life was heading. Fortunately, I can now see some dim light at the end of the long dark tunnel so I'm hoping that things are finally turning themselves around so I can get back to having some fun with life, playing guitar again, and I'm hoping to purchase another Hallmark guitar (I miss my original one). And that Pearl Surf color is really cool!!
I'll try to check in when I can...and any prayers you all can offer would be greatly appreciated. Just mention that Vaughn & Debbie need a little help & guidance and He will know what you mean.

Hey, MaxFib--
You wrote, about Hallmark Guitars:
>>The only thing I worry about is that story about the finish, . . .
I hope that Bob Shade doesn't get upset with me for talking out of school here, but I have seen and handled that guitar that a person had a "problem" with and returned to Hallmark, and read the back-and-forth describing the "problem."
I also own two Hallmarks with superb finishes.
Anyway, regarding the finish problem, as Danny says, there are two sides to every story. What that person described is, may I say, unique to that guitar and if I were Bob, I would have not handled it as nicely as he did.
To my eye, that was a clear case of someone monkeying with a guitar after they bought it and then trying to blame the maker. That is just my opinion, please. I am NOT speaking for anyone else here whatsoever.

Re: Hallmark 60's Custom
OK guy's, both moderators and I are totally familiar with the prior disagreement regarding the Hallmark finish problem and the way it was handled. We are all three members on the forum where all the hash was slinging. As said before, two sides to every story. Also, that Hallmark customer is a member here on this forum. This is not the place to re hash an old issue that doesn't pertain to this forum. Those discussions can be accomplished via personal messages.
With that said, please go no further with this discussion on the public forum.
