Hello from Hallmark Guitars!
We have been busy working on several things new for this year. Our new tappable humbucking pickups is one of them!
These new 60 Custom humbuckers come in black or white as you can see from the picture included here. Specs are 2 coils wound to apr. 6.5K each for a total of apr. 13K. You can wire them with a push pull or 5 position selector if you would like to get some Tele tones etc. in a split position. Also if you live in a noisy area or gig in a noisy environment these humbuckers will buck the hum.
The magnets are alnico 5 and sound warm and sweet. If you are playing metal we can employ ceramic magnets to clean up the low end as well.
Top pro's have been using our pickups for years, and we expect these to be an exciting new addition.
The price of these pups are $99.00 ea. or if you buy two, $150.00 per set plus shipping.
Please feel free to respond if you have any questions or comments. These are not on our website just yet.
Thank you!
Bob Shade/ Hallmark Guitars

Re: NEW Hallmark humbucking pickups for your 60 Custom!
Uh-oh...I smell the possibility of a new set of pickups for my 60 Custom! I love the idea of getting some Tele tones out of it, as well as humbucker tones. Push-pulls on the volume and tone controls would do it for me. What value pots do you recommend? I've got 500Kohm ones in there now, with the stock pickups. And would it be possible to order a pair of those pickups with the blue pearloid covers, as shown on the Gospel guitar? If not, the white ones would still look cool with Surf Pearl...

Yes, the 500K pots are what you would use for these pickups. We can make these pickups with our Ocean Pearl covers for an upcharge no problem.
Thank you,
Bob

Re: NEW Hallmark humbucking pickups for your 60 Custom!
Just got one in today for the bridge position, cant wait to try it out!! Didn't come with installation instructions though - can anybody offer any advice as to what goes where? Think Bob is out of town for a week.
Comes with:
Red wire
Green/White wires - soldered together
Bare (and I think Black) wires - soldered together
Any help gratefully appreciated!

Re: NEW Hallmark humbucking pickups for your 60 Custom!
Hey there! Just returned yesterday from the beach.
Yes the wire code is:
"Red" wire is hot which would be wired to the switch
"Black" and "Bare ground" go to ground spot of your choice
"Green" and "White" wires soldered together stay this way unless you would like to use coil tapping. I would tape them off so the exposed wires cannot come in contact with anything. This would ground your pickup out. If you decide to ever use the wires for coil tapping you would need a push pull pot or a 5 way pot etc.
Hope this helps and let us know how you like the new Hallbucker!
