I posted these pictures on another forum (BYOC pedals) and thought you folks might like to see too. I periodically build pedals and here’s my latest build. It’s a green Russian muff on vero. The enclosure is etched…I was going for that “big klunky beat-up-machine” look. The sound is really cool. Still getting used to how it responds, etc. It was a fun build and as usual, I learned a lot!

Don't think the Politburo will approve. Fuzzed out electric guitar??? Way too much the result of decadent western capitalism.
Maybe a trip to Siberia will help straighten out your thinking, Comrade.
Very cool, and yet another voice in the world of fuzz.
Had a big Muff years ago but it died. Now I use a Turbo Rat and Sanner Fuzzrite.

Very cool build!
That will definitely fit better than an original green box in a pedal board.
What did you use to etch the case?

Thanks for the positive feedback! I use Ferric Chloride to etch. It’s pretty messy, but I’ve got a pretty good system for etching. Here is a link to the tutorial where I learned: http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/MarkMs-Gallery/album24/

Nice, sounds like it has a good range of tones in the fuzz spectrum of sound

Re: New distortion pedal build
I have one of those chucky army green big muffs. I love that freakin pedal. I think they sound best with an amp set on a good crunch tone though. if you use batteries, a neat tip I learned was to get a small on/on toggle switch and add it to the pedal somewhere it wont get stepped on. then run it between the positive terminal of the battery and where it attaches to the board, and now you can cut off your power without having to unplug guitar cables all the time. This is even more handy on a pedal board.
cool build and video.
