Where could I get some Mosrite speed frets or fretwire that size?

About the only way to do it is by filing down Fender vintage-style/size frets. I think that's how it was done originally anyway. Check out this topic, especially page 7 viewtopic.php?f=20&t=112

Height wise, You'd just sand the frets down with a fret leveler like what's at the link below. This is an everyday thing in fretting to get frets level with one another. I don't know about the width though, That's something that I'd imagine can't be done accurately unless you were a manufacturer of fretwire. If anyone could measure how many thousandths the width of Mo frets are that would be grand.

Thanks, Sarah. I can't think of any fretwire off the top of my head that's quite that right size, The closest is .080. Below that, There's .053. I don't know about all fretwire sizes or types though so there could be something better out there.

I thought I read some were that you should start with mandolin fret wire........or was it Banjo fret wire???

Mandolin is what I have read all the time in various places

I have read mandolin wire as well.
