Yesterday I finally had time to get the frets leveled, nut slotted and because I cant wait to play it I strung it up and played on it a little. I have the volume, tone and switch wired up already so as soon as I get the pickups from hallmark I can get my pick guard made and I should be done other that putting the fret markers in place.

It's coming along nicely! I'm glad you hung on to it and followed through with the project.

I'm going to have a few small pieces of cream pickguard material left which would me perfect for a side jack mounting plate. Does anybody have a tracing of one so I can make em? Thanks for the kind words Dennis.

Well yesterday I went ahead made the pick guard but made sure to leave a little extra material at the neck pickup that I could trim the excess around the pickup ring. Installed the wiring harness and now it's starting to look like a guitar.
The pick guard material I ordered ended up being big enough for three pick guards.
