Here is a photo of the final alignment and hole markings for all of the parts. After everything is in place, I'll mark and drill all of the holes. Mount everything, install strings to try it out. Then I'll disassemble the entire guitar to finish sanding shaping, and polishing everything have Sarah make the pickguard ( still not sure if I want aged white or white ? ) and paint the neck and body.
Then I'll put it back together and I'll be done.

Hey, Dan--

That is super-looking. Here is a crazy question: Could that resin itself be polished to a shine without putting any finish on it?

The reason I ask is that, as it looks now, it's kind of like an eccentric tobacco-burst that I think looks nice.

That's just me, though!

Looks good! The best part is that you've made so much of it yourself! 8-)

Olrocknroller;
That's been the fun part and the hardest part all together.

Jim;
When I saw the picture below, my first thought was, it reminds me of leather, and I considered keeping it like that, I still like the plain natural color , but it looks different in person. If I could match the leather look I would.

Ahh; I know what you mean. Well, no matter what color you choose, it is still going to be a great-looking instrument.

Please keep us posted as this has been a great project to observe.

I strung it up a played it today, without electronics of course. The set up went fine, and it tuned up easily, and plays nice as far as I can tell, without amplification. Tomorrow I will wire up the electronics.
I have one issue with the tremolo that I'm not sure I will change or not. The string holes, are a little on the high side, as far as distance from the guitar top. If I lowered the holes by remaking the string guide, I could significantly lower the saddle. It's at about mid range as far a height is concerned, if I make the modification I could get in down to about 1/4 distance rather then 1/2.

Sarah;
BTW, a 1/8 " wedge solved the neck angle problem.
