I Hate Big Bands-Although the Holiday Season is Near....

Some members on the Forum here, are probably not going to appreciate what I am about to say.... But, I have never cared for Orchestrated Music or Orchestras, Musicals, Big Bands, etc. Anything that was Broadway, Dancing Routine Musicals, BLEEEEAAAH!!!!!!!!
I have no idea why I never cared for it, other than when I was about 5 or 6 years of age, and my Mom and Dad took my Sister and I to see the movie "Mary Poppins." Well, Mom, Dad and my Sister enjoyed the movie and thought it was so cute. I myself, however, was so frickin embarrassed, and was praying that I didn't run into any of my friends
. Now KEEP IN MIND, HERE'S a 5 or 6 yr old 'child' that GREW UP REAL QUICK. I don't know why I reacted to Musicals this way, but even at 5 or6 yrs, I already didn't accept a lot of things that were 'make believe.' Yeah, I believed in Santa Claus, etc, but there was 'something wrong' about watching a young lady dressed up like Granny from the "Beverly Hillbillies," floating towards the ground using an umbrella as a parachute
. And worst of all, she's singing with a 120 Piece Orchestra which was 'no where to be found' even if you had used an Aerial Reconnaissance to try to track them down. I don't like Musicals, Broadway, etc. To me, it's stupid, silly, gay, ridiculous
. I apologize if I offended anyone, but those are my most ugliest deepest feelings towards that kind of Garbage, and I use the word 'Garbage' proudly, or maybe I'm just using it as a Shield to myself
?? I just CAN'T UNDERSTAND how people would go to watch a Broadgay Musical.......
OK, with that said, about 12 years ago (1996), an Orchestra presented itself to the Public, which later ended up on David Letterman, Jay Leno, etc, etc. They have had their own specials, and only perform 4 months out of the year, for they are a "Holiday Orchestra" that performs during the Holiday Season. They have taken the Traditional Orchestral Arrangements and "Fused" it with Modern Rock Fusion. For the first time in my life, I have taken notice of an Orchestra that is "Updated" and which I can appreciate their style of playing which to me, I think is Very Dynamic.........Well, I'm at least listening to one Orchestra, and maybe within time, I'll one day, be able to accept Grannies parachuting in on Umbrellas
With all that said, Although a lot of you are already familiar with them,I hope everybody here will at least check this site-Very Incredible!.....
