Went and saw "The Runaways" movie last night, have always been a fan of Joan and The Runaways.

HOWEVER...there's a scene in the movie where a headlining band gets their comeuppance where Joan urinates(keeping it clean here) on one of their guitars. Now keep in mind there were 2 guys from headlining band giving her a hard time. What guitar gets the golden treatment from Miss Jett, played by Kristen Stewart?

A Joe Maphis 6/12 Doubleneck in sunburst  . Now the guys deserved it, Joe Maphis did not. Otherwise it's a good movie.

Deke, do you think this gives Joan a "Bad Reputation"? :D

Well that's nice isn't it. A Mosrite gets the big-screen treatment and look what happens to it!
I hope none of the uninformed masses think that's all they're good for.
Now if it was a Zoot-Suit SG I'd have no problem.
Bill.

There's an interview with Joan in Guitar World this month, where she says the incident never happened. The harrassment took place--the reaction didn't, although I'll bet she felt like doing something like that! Apparently it was Rush's road crew who were the instigators. It's still a rotten thing to do to an innocent Mosrite doubleneck, although I've had a few guitars that probably would have deserved it--and just what was Jimi doing with that lighter fluid at Monterey? :D
